Desensitization due to overexposure?

Who knows? When I was a teen, we saw a guy lose a leg when a car slammed him into a wall. Fucking thing was pinched off and rolled out from under the car.
We laughed like mad. Of course we were drunk, then we called emergency services, but it was fucking hilarious at the moment.

When I was with the Sheriff's Department, I watched a one-armed man beat the hell out of one city cop and 4 detention officers in the jail intake hall before I got to him with the stun gun.

The city cop left him un-handcuffed because he only had one arm. (He was wearing a belt on his jeans.) In my opinion, the townie deserved the ass-kicking for being stupid. But the jail guys got messed up pretty bad too. Everybody underestimated the cripple. LOL

Like the saying goes, "It was the one armed man" that did it.

The paper I quoted was a direct copy. Unfortunately I do not recall the website, as I was trying to work when I Googled it. I was scanning and found what seemed reasonable.

Also, I do not take things for granted either. Reasonable people do not need evidence presented for them that something is harmful or wrong. If, perhaps, you had given a few moments of serious thought to what I had said and bothered to do the research without prompting me to do it for you, you would have come to much the same conclusion.

For the most part, I concur. Please note, I also called for an investigation into their home life. There is clearly a lack of parenting going on. However, the school administration IS responsible for the safety and well-being of the children when in their care/custody/control.
What would happen to a police officer who detained (NOT ARRESTED) someone for questioning and turned his back for 15 SECONDS and the detainee ran out into traffic and caused an accident? The officer would be reprimanded (of not publicly crucified and fired). BECAUSE that individual was in their care/custody/control.
It's about the responsibility of ALL the adults in the children's lives to prevent the OPPORTUNITY from arising and to teach the MORALITY that fucking your classmate, in class, with an audience, is not acceptable behavior.

The fact that we are all (supposed to be) adults in this forum (porn site) means that we (presumably) are here legally and with the INFORMED CONSENT to be viewing the material and have the discussions we are. Again, children (IMHO >16) do not (or at least SHOULD not) have the life experience necessary to make those decisions.

1st off: The TEACHER who was responsible for supervising the kids needs to be charged with negligence and terminated.
2nd: The Principal (Ultimately responsible for EVERYTHING that happens in the facility) needs to be reprimanded.
3rd: The Child Protection Service needs to investigate the families/home lives of the children involved.

These kids don't need criminal charges, they need help. The ADULTS (indirectly involved) need punishment.

As a parent, I KNOW that I can't control what my children do when I'm not with them. But I DAMN sure can instill a sense of what IS and IS NOT acceptable behavior and activity in them. (And believe me, there are punishments that cause NO physical or mental/emotional harm that my kids NEVER want to experience if they fuck up. Quite frankly, they're scared shitless of what I can come up with.)

As an administrator, I KNOW that there have to be policies in place that were broken to allow these kids to be unsupervised.

As a reasonable (don't laugh) adult, I have to wonder what kind of environment the other students live in that THEY didn't tell an adult. It was a High School student who heard the story that reported it. WTF?
